Yay first Cafe night done , and I didn't chicken out
Despite the fact that it was just Ina, myself and and a rocking pig it was still a perfect beginning to what I hope will be a great night out in the future
It gave me opportunity to think and plan how I intend to make this a relaxed and friendly space for people to meet and just have a cuppa or a meal and not feel pressured at all
Mark the owner , Is a lovely person and immediately made me feel like this venue is the perfect place for catching up and just relaxing. there is another group that meets here regularly , they are a group for Gay And Lesbian Christians which I think is marvellous as I still remember when the two were oil and water
( OK so its only the early stages and I know some religions still cannot accept people that do not / will not conform to the religious doctrines)but its still nice to see the positive changes over the last 10 years
We discussed Marks plans for making the cafe even more inviting by offering more private niches in the six separate spaces already on offer . as it is there is the street scape seating , two main front areas including window seating for the posers that just have to be seen out and about on the town
two spacious back-rooms all of which have quirky works of art for sale on the walls
And of course, the beer-garden out the back where you can sit and enjoy a lovely Laksa in amongst the ferns and palms
The Chai tea well its yummy and its not the powdered variety as the loose grind of spices in the pot infuse to give that lovely flavour of true Chai tea
All in all the food is well worth the measly charge and more than enough to fill you up leaving only a little room left for dessert , as we were having our last cup of tea mark bought out two desserts for us on the house,
chocolate brownies with small chunks of still warm white chocolate through the centre

So now all I have left to do is, contact the many fabulous support groups to get flyer's and contact info that I can hand out if requested,
improve my list of service providers ,doctors endo's, hair removal gurus and a variety of shops ,cafes and venues that are both fun and welcoming
And finally promote my little cafe night to see if I can make it the casual night out for all
All in all I was very happy with my first cafe night and I am eagerly counting down for the next one
